Cangshan Mountains

Some 2 kilometres from Dali Old Town there is a cable car going up into the mountains. First stop is at 3,000 metres, second stop at 4,000 metres. In autumn and winter you can only go up to the first stop due to too strong winds higher in the mountains. We did so and it was worth it. China has a lot of beautiful nature and the Cangshan mountains are no exception. What was somewhat a pity though was that there were not many walks to make and those that you could choose from were all on paved paths. Anyway, we did walk some and were rewarded with some nice views (it was a little hazy so the photos are unfortunately not that crisp):
